My family and I stand in a pivotal point in our faith journey. We have taken a step of faith incomparable to anything we've ever done and stepped into the unknown by obedience to the voice of Christ. Nothing will be as it has been and we wait for God to move ahead of us and on behalf of us. We hide in His shelter and wait. We wait on His prompting, direction and promises.
In the waiting is the test. Our hearts our tested in the case of nothing tangibly being placed before you upon the letting go of what was requested. Many are looking at us disappointed, fearful, and bewildered by the move in our life that we've made and from that stance, doubt, unbelief, negativity and condemnation have come. It's wonderful though and we rejoice because it's more testing and we are excercising our faith and clinging ever so tightly to the Lord! You see, as Christians, trials and testing are wonderful in the work that it accomplishes.
I still needed encouragement from the Lord and ran to that place where I find it, in His word. I love that we have the privilege of owning a Bible and the Author of it is waiting to speak to us through it. In that place of communion with God, the Lord began to minister so that my heart would be strengthened during this time that my family and I are in. Do you need to be strengthened? If you are waiting too, for whatever miracle or move of God that you need, I pray you'd be encouraged to by what He showed me.
"I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass." Isaiah 48:3
Suddenly, God acted and they came to pass. In that one moment, everything changed.
"The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly." Isaiah 60:22
In its time, the Lord will do it swiftly.
"See, the former things have taken place, and the new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you." Isaiah 42:9
God will cause things to spring up into existence.
I am encouraged that though I may not "see" with my eyes and there may not be "evidence" on the horizon to keep moving forward, yet I am certain, that God has provided for our family and at the perfect time, it will be done swiftly, so that I'll see it in existence. With this understanding and through His grace, I can perservere.
Be reminded that whenever the Lord came into any circumstance, it instantly changed! Blind could see for the first time. The lame could walk, the lepers cleansed, the woman forgiven, the lost found, all in a moment, all done swiftly and all in its perfect time. No one knew the time of their deliverance but God did. Many waited for a long time and many of you may be waiting for a long time too. Will you wait with me today and ask the Lord to strengthen your heart in the process? Seek His voice through the Word and there you'll find great peace for your soul. Be encouraged, I know your trial has been "trying", painful, and seemingly going on forever. I promise you, that the minute Jesus touches your situation everything will be suddenly different! Hold fast to His promises and don't look away from the evidence of His nature in scripture. He changes not. Encourage yourself in the Lord and review all that He has done for you. Praise and glory to Jesus for being Faithful and True!
